About this policy
Developed by Michael at SpendTime-Games. This policy explains how the app handles your trackers and related information, optional Apple services, and messages you choose to send to support.
SpendTime-Games does not collect your personal data through How Long: Life Tracker. Your app information stays on your device or, when you enable iCloud features, in your personal iCloud account. We do not operate a server that receives your trackers, sell your data, use advertising networks, or include third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Information the app stores
How Long: Life Tracker stores the information you choose to enter so it can display your progress and history. This includes tracker names, dates and times, streaks and sessions, goals, milestones, achievements, notes, check-in responses, collections, optional savings estimates, reminders, and preferences. Identifiers and timestamps help keep changes and deletions consistent across your devices.
Storing this information for you is different from collecting it as a developer. The app does not send a copy of your tracking information to SpendTime-Games.
On your device and in your private iCloud
Choose “Use on This Device” to use How Long: Life Tracker without signing in. In local mode, the app stores your tracking information on that device and does not enable its iCloud sync or private cloud backup. Device backups you separately enable are governed by your device and backup settings.
If you enable cloud features, How Long: Life Tracker uses Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services, including the private database associated with your Apple Account, for synchronization and backup. Your information is stored on your devices and in your personal iCloud, not on a developer-operated server or in a public database.
Optional Sign in with Apple may provide an account identifier and the name or email address you choose to share, including a private relay address. The app uses this information to maintain your sign-in; it is not sent to a developer-operated account service. Apple services are subject to Apple’s privacy policy and terms.
Security and developer access
How Long: Life Tracker relies on Apple’s device security and iCloud protections. Apple encrypts third-party app data in iCloud in transit and on its servers. Keep your devices updated and protect your device and Apple Account with the security options Apple provides. An optional app lock uses Apple’s authentication services; the app does not receive your fingerprint or facial biometric template.
SpendTime-Games does not have an administrative view of your private iCloud database or remote access to the tracking information on your device. Your private trackers are not available for the developer to browse or retrieve.
The protection available depends on your device, Apple Account settings, and Apple’s supported data types. Advanced Data Protection can add end-to-end encryption for supported iCloud data. This policy does not claim that every field is end-to-end encrypted or inaccessible to Apple.
Reminders, widgets, and Apple Watch
If you allow notifications, How Long: Life Tracker schedules reminders and milestone alerts on your device. Notification previews can show tracker information outside the app. You control notification permissions and preview visibility in device Settings.
Widgets, Apple Watch features, complications, and system shortcuts can display or use tracker information on your own devices. Enable and configure only the views you want visible, including on a locked screen. These features do not send your trackers to the developer.
Optional tips and support subscriptions
All tracking features are free. Optional tips and support subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. How Long: Life Tracker uses StoreKit purchase information on your device to recognize support, restore purchases, and manage support reminders. It does not send your purchase history to a developer-operated server and does not receive your payment card details.
Apple may provide developers with App Store sales and financial reports as part of its services. These reports do not give us access to your private trackers or iCloud database. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Deleting app data or uninstalling How Long: Life Tracker does not cancel a subscription.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit or delete your trackers in the app. Synchronization information, including deletion markers, helps prevent removed records from reappearing. Recovery copies and device backups may retain earlier information according to the app’s recovery controls and your backup settings.
Use “Delete All Data” in Settings for the app’s full deletion flow, including its private iCloud backup. Read the confirmation carefully. Signing out or uninstalling the app is not a substitute for deleting cloud-backed information. Apple controls the operation and retention of its own services and backups.
You can use local mode, manage permissions in device Settings, revoke Sign in with Apple through your Apple Account, and control your device’s iCloud and backup settings. The developer cannot retrieve or edit your private tracking information on your behalf.
If you contact support
If you choose to email support@spendtime-games.com, the developer and email provider receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. This voluntary correspondence is separate from app data collection and is used to respond to your request. It is retained only as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable obligations.
Please avoid sending private tracker contents, passwords, or other sensitive information. For help, the app version, device model, and a description of the issue are usually enough.
Changes and contact
This policy applies to How Long: Life Tracker. If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated with a new date.
